Mallory + Scott’s engagement session in North Cascades National Park was one to remember! They were up for an adventure which took us some amazing locations, one being a favorite of the cascades - Diablo Lake!

These two traveled in from Texas, so to say the scenery they were experiencing in the cascades would be an understatement! I had spent a little bit of time in the Casacdes, but definitely not enough, so I booked a few extra days on this work trip to stay + hike around myself, which is how I found the first two locations for their shoot.

We started out at the first location, which gave us some scenic + panoramic views of the cascade mountain range. That spot was only a short little hike in, and all of the granite slabs reminded me a lot of Yosemite! Next we headed to a little valley that was starting to really show off the fall colors! The most gorgeous grasses surrounded by a layer of pine trees + then mountains. Next we headed to Diablo! The blue water of Diablo Lake is something that will blow your mind each time you see it. It’s so vibrantly blue and it was something that all of us were looking forward to admiring! We spent as much time as we could there dancing around + exploring the overlook until the sun went down and we couldn’t shoot any more!

Enjoy these images from the North Cascades! If you’re looking for a place to elope, a place for your engagement session, or just a place to vacation to - the North Cascades is your spot! Just two hours from Seattle, it’s full of some of the most gorgeous mountains that the United States is able to call its own. Highly recommend!
