Adventure Portrait Locations Near Seattle | Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits

Some of the best Adventure Portrait Locations Near Seattle, feat. beautiful Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits with Lauren and Alex.

Lauren & Alex’s Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits were a long time in the making! This sweet couple reached out to me in 2019 for some adventure portraits, which we scheduled for 2020. Of course, that meant we had to deal with what seemed like endless delays, but Lauren & Alex were determined to make it happen. Finally, in the fall of 2021 we were able to meet up in Mt Rainier, a place that is so special to Lauren because she grew up in nearby Seattle.

Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits

There are a few main locations for Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits – Paradise Trail, Tipsoo Lakes, and Reflection Lakes are easily the most popular, and for good reason! For Lauren & Alex’s adventure session, we started at the Paradise Meadows trail. As we got further up the trail and closer to Mt Rainier and the beautiful glacier views this area is known for, Lauren & Alex changed outfits to make the most of their portrait session as well as the hike. The Paradise Meadows trail is also known for its super beautiful meadows filled with wildflowers if you go at the right time of year. I’d really recommend considering it for your own Seattle Adventure Portrait session!

Adventure Portrait Locations near Seattle

Of course, Seattle is a big city with plenty of beautiful modern photo locations, but its proximity to the world-famous nature of the PNW means Seattle has got plenty of nearby locations for adventure portraits, as well. Apart from Mt Rainier, which of course I’ve already mentioned above, here are a few of my favorite Adventure Portrait Locations near Seattle!

Snoqualmie Falls and the Snoqualmie Pass

The Snoqualmie Falls are probably one of Washington State’s most popular destinations, so it’s best planning for an early morning session here to avoid crowds. Still, it’s an easy hike and location if you’d like to plan your own adventure portrait sessions without doing anything too difficult!

Rattlesnake Lake & Rattlesnake Ridge

The Rattlesnake Ledge trail, leading up to Rattlesnake Ridge, is another world-famous location for adventure portraits near Seattle. The hike, which starts near North Bend, is a little more intensive than the hike to the Snoqualmie Falls, but the views from the top of Rattlesnake Ridge are well worth it!

Franklin Falls

If you love the idea of including a visit to a waterfall in your adventure session, but you’re worried that Snoqualmie Falls will be too busy, then Franklin Falls might be perfect for you! The hike in is a touch longer, at 2-miles long, but it’s a little less well known than the Snoqualmie Falls while still being located near the Snoqualmie Pass. The trail itself is relatively easy and accessible, and you’ll be met at the end with the beautiful Franklin Falls and all the lush greenery that surrounds them (depending on the time of year, of course!).

If you’re planning your own Mt Rainier Adventure Portraits, or you’re curious about what it involves, get in touch! I’d love to help you plan a photo session to help celebrate and document your love.
