Going to the Sun Road Elopement in Glacier National Park
Molly and Cam’s elopement was an intimate and adventurous day filled with stunning landscapes and so many sweet moments! Their story began in third grade when they played on the same soccer team (!!!), and they’ve been together since 2009. Their elopement was not only a celebration of their love but also a special surprise for their families!
Molly and Cam started their morning at a cute black A-frame cabin just outside the park. They took their time getting ready, getting excited for what was to come. Before heading out, they made a special call to their families—letting them in on the surprise that they were eloping that day!
Once they were dressed and ready, we set up their first look right outside their cabin. It was such a sweet moment before we headed into Glacier National Park!
Old Growth Forest in Glacier National Park
The weather was a little unpredictable that day, so we adjusted our plans and started on a forested trail to avoid the rain. This cedar-lined path is filled with towering old-growth trees and a rushing river, a beautiful start to the day!
As the weather cleared, we set off on Going To The Sun Road, stopping at multiple scenic pull-offs to take in the landscapes. One of the biggest advantages of eloping along this iconic road is that it provides stunning mountain views without requiring long hikes. If you want to feel like you're deep in the backcountry without a strenuous trek, this road is the perfect solution!
We explored several stops, each offering epic views of peaks, alpine meadows, and sweeping valleys. One particular pull-off, blooming with vibrant fireweed flowers, became the perfect spot for Molly and Cam to exchange their vows and sign their paperwork!
Sunset at St. Mary’s Lake
To wrap up their elopement adventure, we headed to St. Mary’s Lake for sunset! The wind got a little crazy, but Molly and Cam took it all in! The views at St. Mary’s Lake are a classic look at Glacier, with the beautiful lake and panoramic mountain views!
