Through my elopement experience, I’ll walk you through all of the steps to design best day of your life… even better than you might be imagining! You see, the key to the most beautiful elopement photos is creating an elopement day that you’re genuinely stoked to be having. If you’re having the best day of your life, your photos will reflect that. They’ll be full of real emotion, which will make them look and feel like you. Plus, it’ll be way more fun than an all day long staged photoshoot, trust me! So here’s a brief look at the process!
Initial Phone Call
The first step is to inquire through my contact form, and then we’ll hop on a phone call! We’ll chat about what you’re dreaming up so far, I’ll give you different tips, tricks and recommendations to make it the day of your dreams, and we’ll go over much more in-depth what it looks like to work together (spoiler alert: it’s AWESOME!)
Book your Adventure Elopement
Once you’ve chatted it through and decided that this is the perfect fit and you’re STOKED to start creating the elopement day of your dreams, I’ll send you a contract + invoice. The contract + retainer saves your date, and makes booking your elopement official!
Elopement Guide
First on our to do list is the elopement guide. I’ll send you my elopement guide which is filled 90+ pages of tricks, ideas, tips, inspiration and more to get you dreaming BIG. This is the best day of your life after all, we have to make it special! Questionnaire
Now that you’re clear on what you want your day to look like, it’s time to get specific! I’ll send you a questionnaire to get clear on where your heads at, the type of landscapes you want to include + accessibility of them, what activities + moments you want coverage of, what time of day you want to focus your adventure around etc.
PERSONALIZED LOCATION GUIDE
Based on your answers in the questionnaire, I’ll dig into the depths of the internet, maps, and my personal experience to do lots of research to find the best locations for your elopement day. This can include location recommendations for your ceremony, portraits, adventures etc. When this is complete, you’ll have some time to go over it and decide which spots excite you most, and that’s where we’ll plan the day around! In this location guide, I’ll also include any recommendations I have for activities, timing layouts, accomodations, my favorite coffee shops etc. Pretty much anything else I can think to include that will make your elopement and your trip to this location, the best it can be!
NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT PERMITS + VENDORS
Most national parks + public lands will require a permit to get married, and sometimes even to photograph your day. I’ll help you figure out which permits you’ll need to apply for, as well as recommend any vendors that might help to make your day that much more perfect!
BUILDING AN ELOPEMENT TIMELINE
Based on your locations, the activities you want to do, when this is all going down, and how far apart things are, I’ll create various timeline ideas. This is the exciting part because we’ll start to really paint a picture of what your elopement day is beginning to look like! This is where you’ll see what you’re having coverage of + what you’ll spend the day experiencing!
IRON OUT THE DETAILS
Through some more back and forth, we’ll make sure all the logistics are ironed out, come up with a more solidified timeline, and make sure we have all of the last minute details prepped for the BEST DAY EVER!
ELOPEMENT DAY!
This one’s easy. Best day of your life. Marry your best friend. Have the adventure of a lifetime. Boom, boom and boom.
ELOPEMENT PHOTOS
I’ll send you a few sneak peaks within a few days of your elopement and around 8 weeks later you’ll receive your full gallery! Through your photos, you’ll be able to live your day over and over again, share your experience with family + friends, and remember all of the details, big moments, small moments and in between’s that made this day the best of your life.
ALBUM PROCESS
If you have album credit (most of my collections include this - yay!), I’ll have album spreads designed + waiting for your with your full gallery. We’ll work through a few rounds of revisions together, and then have your photos printed in an album to share with your people for generations to come. They’re a pretty special way to end this whole experience :)
ADVENTURE BUDS FOR LIFE
It’s an incredibly special thing to be the only, or one of the only, people there on your elopement day, and to help your elopement dreams come to life. It’s not rare that we end up becoming buds and adventuring again together down the line, so prep yourself for a new buddy at the end of your elopement experience!
