Washington Summer Glam Wedding at the Kingston House | Pacific Northwest Elopement Photographer | Bainbridge + San Juan Island Wedding Photographer
Emily and Kodey got in touch with me last year and from our initial phone call, I knew they were going to be a great fit. They were planning a summer wedding in Washington at the Kingston House but and the side of glam was the perfect touch to make this day theirs.
The day started out with me taking the ferry from Seattle over to Bainbridge Island, making my way to Kingston. If every day could start out with a ferry road over the puget sound, I would NOT be mad about it! When I got there, I met Emily and all her bridesmaids, and knew it was going to be a blast of a day with those ladies.
It was the most perfect summer day in Washington, no humidity, sunshine and 75. Their ceremony had a ton of silly inside jokes and Game of Throne references, however my favorite was their vows. Emily and Kodey wrote their own vows, and revealed them to each other during their ceremony, and it was then that they realized they had written very similar things, bring up the same random stories and touching on the same points. It was mine, and Emily’s, favorite part of the day.
After the ceremony and some time for portraits, we headed into the reception that was filled with some GREAT speeches from a half dozen of their loved ones, and after it darkened, the most epic dance party everrrrr broke out. Penis straws and all. These guys had a ball, and it was contagious! It was such a fun reception to shoot. The ended their day with a sparkler send off that burned forever, so they were able to run through it a few times!
This Kingston House wedding was the most perfect, intentional and intimate day, and it was SO much fun to get to be there alongside of these guys on their best day!
